LPN - OK Headache Center at Norman Regional Health System summary:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the Oklahoma Headache Center, you will provide patient care as dictated by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act, including developing care plans and administering medication responsibly. You will maintain a safe and organized work environment, document nursing activities, and assist both patients and staff during clinical procedures. To be qualified for this role, you need a high school diploma, completion of an LPN program, and a current LPN license, along with a commitment to ongoing training and patient care excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Performs duties of a licensed practical nurse as prescribed by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act.
- Contributes to the development of a plan of care and follows through with such plan for selected patients.
- Administers medication with a high degree of safety and accuracy.
- Maintains the exam rooms and work environment.
- Documents nursing care and activities.
- Assists with patient care and monitors patients during procedures.
- Assists with the training of other staff.
- Assists departmental assistant with clinical matters.
Qualifications:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse.
Experience
- Prefer at least 1-2 year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care. Experience in office clerical activities desirable.

Licensure/Certification
- Current LPN license from the State of Oklahoma or active Multistate LPN license is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
Compensation/Benefits
- $17.39-$28.40/hr depending on previous work experience.
