**Job Title: Progressive Care Unit / Telemetry RN (PCU RN)** **Location:** Asheville, NC **Type:** 13-Week Contract **Company:** Fidé Healthcare **Job Description:** Fidé is currently seeking a dedicated **Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry RN** for a 13-week contract assignment in **Asheville, NC**. This opportunity is for a highly skilled nurse with experience in progressive care and telemetry, particularly with cardiac patients. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide care for patients with cardiac and telemetry needs, including conditions such as CHF, MI, arrhythmia, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, and post-cardiac procedures like stents, pacemaker insertions, and ablations. - Administer titratable and cardiac IV medications (e.g., nitroglycerine, amiodarone, dopamine, insulin drips, heparin, etc.). - Perform bedside cardioversions when necessary. - Monitor and manage patients with conditions like DKA, endocarditis, and post-cardiac catheterization. - Work in a high-paced unit requiring strong critical thinking and clinical skills. - Support and supervise nursing assistants and other staff as needed. - Potential to float to other MedSurg units, Stepdown units, COVID unit, and ER holding as needed. **Unit Information:** - **Patient Population:** CHF, MI, CP, arrhythmia, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, DKA, post-cardiac cath/stent, post-pacer/ICD/ablation. - **Equipment:** Zoll defibrillators, Baxter pumps, lift equipment, bladder scanners. - **EMR System:** Cerner. - **Scrub Colors:** All white, navy blue, or white top and navy blue pants. - **Floating:** Possible to MedSurg units, Stepdown units, COVID unit, and ER holding. **Required Qualifications:** - **1+ years** of experience as a Progressive Care Unit / Telemetry RN. - Experience with titratable and cardiac IV medications, such as nitroglycerine, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutrex, insulin drip, heparin, bumex/Lasix. - Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin) is preferred. - Relief charge experience is preferred. - **Current NC RN License** (Compact License allowed). - **Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications**. - **Skills Checklist** from within the past 12 months. - **Three Supervisory References** from the past two years of employment. **Work Schedule:** - **Shift:** Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. - **Hours per Week:** 36 hours. - **Weekend Requirements:** Every other weekend (EOW). - **On-Call Requirements:** None. **Compensation:** - **Travel Hourly Pay:** $20. - **Travel Stipend:** $1400. - **Travel Weekly Package:** $2120. - **Local Hourly Pay:** $52. - **Local Weekly Package:** $1872. **About Fidé:** Fidé is a Woman-Owned Business focused on connecting healthcare facilities with top-notch candidates in a timely manner.
