Accountant – Your Passion, Our Mission

El Dorado County & Greater Sacramento Region | $85,000 - $105,000 annually (up to $120,000 for highly qualified candidates)


Position Summary

As our Accountant, you will be a key member of the Snowline Health team, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and reporting. Your expertise in accounts receivable management and accounting operations will help us continue delivering exceptional care.

Requirements:


* Local Candidates Only: Due to the hybrid work model, only local candidates or those willing to relocate will be considered.


Key Responsibilities


Accounts Receivable:

  • Oversee all aspects of medical billing, collaborating with the patient care team to ensure accuracy.
  • Work closely with the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team on billing and collection processes
  • Maintain payor rates, general ledger coding, and charge structures in the billing system
  • Perform accounts receivable closing and generate month-end aging reports

Accounting:

  • Prepare month-end journal entries and analyze statistical & financial data.
  • Manage miscellaneous billings and pass-through expenses.
  • Act as a backup for payroll and accounts payable.
  • Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare and submit government-mandated reports, including Medicare Cost Reports and California Annual Utilization Reports.
  • Assist the CFO with audits and manage Fixed Asset Accounting.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support all departments with financial-related inquiries.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills and clear communication.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by the CFO.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong background in budget preparation, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel, accounting software, and revenue cycle management.
  • Experience managing billing & collections (healthcare experience is a plus!).
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Your Role in Protecting Patient Data

You will have minimum necessary access to financial information from medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards.
