Job Title: Healthcare Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A reputable law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a Healthcare Litigation Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will join a collaborative and dynamic legal team handling complex litigation matters in the healthcare sector. This position offers an opportunity to work on high-stakes healthcare litigation cases involving False Claims Act litigation, federal and state investigations, government enforcement actions, and more.

Duties:

  1. Represent healthcare companies in federal and state investigations, enforcement actions, and civil disputes.
  2. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and declarations.
  3. Manage complex litigation cases and coordinate with multiple legal teams, including healthcare and government investigation practices.
  4. Handle e-discovery, including proficiency with document management platforms.
  5. Collaborate with internal legal teams across the country on healthcare litigation matters.
  6. Provide legal advice and guidance on healthcare regulatory environments, including fraud, abuse laws, and reimbursement laws.
  7. Independently take ownership of assigned legal matters and litigation tasks.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, particularly within healthcare.
  2. Demonstrated ability to handle healthcare-related disputes and navigate federal and California healthcare laws.
  3. Expertise in e-discovery and document management systems.
  4. Exceptional writing, communication, and client management skills.
  5. Strong ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  6. California Bar admission is required.

Education:

  1. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  2. Strong academic credentials.

Skills:

  1. Proficient in healthcare law, including regulatory and reimbursement issues.
  2. Strong litigation management and project oversight skills.
  3. Collaborative approach with a proactive, independent work ethic.
  4. Familiarity with federal and state legal processes.
  5. Experience with federal and state government investigations.
