Job Description

Role: PHYSICAL DESIGN Engineer
Work Location: San Diego, CA
Duration: 6+ Months
Experience: 8-10 Yrs
Start Date: Immediate

Responsibilities:

1. Floor planning, P&R, timing closure SI prevention/fixing, power planning, CTS, PV and I/R drop for Block as well as Top level MSM.
2. Work on PD projects. Specific experience with Synopsys DC/PC, LINT, PTSI, and Verilog/VHDL is required.
3. Able to deal with MSM Top level complexity from FP, Placement, CTS, Routing, and timing closure.
4. Must be able to take the Hard-macro through P&R from Netlist to GDS including timing closure and Physical verification.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering.

Required Skills:

1. Performs highly complex application programming/systems development and support.
2. Performs highly complex configuration of business rules and technical parameters of software products.
3. Reviews business requirements and develops application design documentation.
4. Builds technical components (Maximo objects, TRM Rules, Java extensions, etc.) based on detailed design.
5. Performs unit testing of components along with completing necessary documentation.
6. Supports product test, user acceptance test, etc. as a member of the fix-it team.
7. Employs consistent measurement techniques.
8. Includes testing in project plans and establishes controls to require adherence to test plans.
9. Manages the interrelationships among various projects or work objectives.
