Tax Director

Essential Functions

• Review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, trusts, non-profits, partnerships, C corps, S corps
• Analyze tax implications for individual/business tax returns
• Responsible for quarterly and year-end tax planning
• Manage tax department
• Scheduling responsibilities for tax team
• Mentor tax staff and seniors
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure firm goals are met as a whole
• Review tax proposals and submit to potential clients
• Participate in business development activities
• Identify opportunities for the development of new services
• Identify organizations or associations to network and develop business contacts
• Participate in client visitations
• Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• Current and valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required
• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting
• 8+ years of Public Accounting experience
• Master of Science degree in Taxation or JD highly preferred
• Proficient in Lacerte, RIA, BNA as well as other accounting software
