Structured Communication Systems, Inc is seeking a Security Engineer (Cloud Security) located in the Pacific Northwest to join our Cloud Security team that will be responsible forsupporting all technical aspects of the enterprise sales and delivery process, focusing on cloud security within Azure, AWS, and GCP, as well as CNAPP, CSPM, CWP, CASB, etc. This position is additionally responsible for designing complex solutions, delivering demonstrations and presentations, guiding technical discussions, customizing products, conducting proof of concept initiatives, and leading deployments, including occasional after-hours work.

- Designs, installs, configures, troubleshoots, and manages Cloud Security Solutions.
- Researches, evaluates, and recommends a selection of security-related tools and emerging technologies to clients.
- Interfaces with end-users for the purpose of designing and implementing security solutions and provides policy recommendations.
- Effectively communicates Structured’s value proposition through Power Point presentations, proposals, and development of collateral as needed to drive the sales and branding of Structured.
- Assists sales personnel with pre- and post- sales technical support by leveraging technical background to identify professional service opportunities in the areas of security, networking, storage/systems, virtualization, and voice/mobility.
- Translates business requirements into functional/technical specifications.
- Responsible for creating various solution designs to satisfy clients’ performance and cost criteria needs.
- Formulates comprehensive implementation plans tailored to meet the specific needs of clients, ensuring effective deployment of solutions.
- Responsible for enhancing the likelihood of system success while reducing risk and total life-cycle costs.
- Assists internal Structured engineers with complex technical tasks including debugging, supporting hardware modules and systems.
- Identifies and corrects faults in order to provide resolution of complex problem tickets escalated from Structured’s help desk.
- Supervises and checks the status of projects and work assignments.
- Documents, designs, and scopes projects in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
- Supports and provides knowledge transfer to clients.
- Provides input for professional service statements of work (“SOW”) and create SOW’s as directed and provide project management services (as needed).
- Responsible for following the current policies and procedures for tracking activities in our CRM tool, Salesforce.com.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in information systems or a related field, or 5+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in Network Engineering.
- Advanced understanding of network engineering, practical knowledge of Information Security standards and policies ISO 27001/27002, CIS 20, NIST, Cloud Control Matrix, and others.
- Experience with providing solution design and implementation preferred. Advanced knowledge of perimeter security solutions (IDS/IPS, Web filtering, Application Filtering and Firewalling).
- Experience with cloud services related to compute, network, storage, content delivery, administration and security, deployment and management, automation technologies. Multi-cloud (AWS/Azure/Google) desired, knowledge and experience across multiple Information Protection capabilities such as security monitoring, threat intelligence, network protection, data protection, endpoint protection, technical security assessments, and security architecture.
- Certifications in CISSP, CCSP or equivalent, Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect SC-100, Microsoft Azure Security AZ-500, Microsoft 365 Security Administrator – MS-500, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE are preferred.
- Cloud Security Product Specific Certifications are a plus.
General Office Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be an experienced user of Microsoft Office Suite and have experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools, such as Salesforce.com.
Language Skills :
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret quotes and reports. Ability to correspond, effectively present information, and respond to questions from employees, management, vendors and customers.

Work is performed in both a general office environment, as well as a data center environment. Within the general office environment both the lighting and temperature are generally moderate. The data center environment is generally cool in temperature and the lighting is moderate; the noise level in the data center environment is generally loud.
Must have a valid Driver’s License and the ability to travel to customer locations and other destinations for short to medium term projects. This position may also require an adjusted work schedule and evening hours in order to meet or attend vendor/customer needs. Flexibility to field phone calls, pager or system alerts and provide remote and/or on-site support to clients outside of normal business hours, including weekends and holidays.
