At Esri, our solution engineers are part of a highly-skilled team that helps shape strategies on the effective adoption and use of Esri technologies. We invite you to use your problem-solving skills and passion for geospatial technology to become an integral part of the Geo Experience Center. Be part of the team that presents and demonstrates geospatial solutions and capabilities to executives and strategic customers when they visit the Esri-Redlands Campus.

We’re looking for individuals who are naturally curious about technology, enjoy identifying and promoting strategies, and demonstrating solutions that will radically improve the way organizations address the challenges they face. You’ll work closely with a team that helps our customers take advantage of geospatial technologies to find answers to their challenges. You will also be working with Esri’s senior leadership team and maintain a close connection with the software development team.

Responsibilities

1. Build relationships: Present, demonstrate, and support selling Esri software and solutions as part of the Geo Experience Center team. Support your team as you help plan and execute sales strategies.
2. Be an expert: Be a technical leader and expert of Esri’s complete platform and strategic products. Speak confidently with strategic customers about Esri technologies and develop complex solutions for an organization’s need and workflows. Be a visionary for our customers anticipating their needs and coach new team members on best practices.
3. Solve problems: Proactively craft and propose solutions that illustrate how geospatial technologies bring business value to our customers by addressing the critical business challenges they face.
4. Spatial thinking: Demonstrate and teach spatial problem solving; employ spatial theory into practice; break problems down into component parts and seek multiple solutions; implement for improvement opportunities; and integrate new and emerging concepts/trends appropriately.
5. Tell our story: Present technical demonstrations of proposed solutions to strategic customers. Successfully design presentations for technical and non-technical customers. Provide best practices related to the advanced use and customization of Esri technology.

Requirements

1. 5+ years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications.
2. 3+ years of experience in various industries.
3. Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design.
4. Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture.
5. Knowledge of cloud computing concepts in addition to enterprise solutions.
6. Strong programming or scripting experience with either one or multiple of these languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, .NET.
7. Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context (such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, cloud computing).
8. Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills.
9. Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 25-50%.
10. Bachelor’s in geography, engineering, computer science, or a related field.

Recommended Qualifications

1. Experience incorporating real-time information streams with existing GIS data and IT infrastructure.
2. Knowledge of digitalization strategies that include mobile, IoT, advanced analytics and data science (AI/ML), and imagery.
3. 2+ years of experience with frameworks like React, vue.js, Angular, or node.js.
4. Master’s in geography, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
