At monday.com, we are seeking a Staff Engineer to join our Boards group and directly impact millions of users every day and the company KPIs. This is an exciting opportunity to join a core group in our company as we expand our presence globally and continue our mission to create the best board in the world.

As a member of the Boards group, you will have the opportunity to work directly on our flagship product , helping to develop features end-to-end for clients and servers. You will also play a critical role in evolving our architecture and engineering to support the ever-growing scale of our users, features, and data.

As a Staff Engineer, you will join a talented team and will have a crucial role in designing and developing mission-critical tier 1 services. You will be responsible for maintaining exceptional performance while collaborating on crafting complex features in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you will be leading the development and advancement of our frontend architecture, supporting high-profile requirements and laying the foundation for monday.com as a multi-product company.

About The Role

  • Be part of an R&D domain technical leadership, closely affecting the company products architecture and craftsmanship.
  • Set engineering vision, technical direction, architectural approach, and execution. Evolve our architecture and engineering to support the ever-growing scale of users, features, and data and the company's multi-product strategy.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team. Be a bar raiser for the team and surrounding teams and push us forward to constant improvement. Mentor fellow engineers with a focus on helping and growing senior talent.
  • Hold yourself and others to a high standard and ensure code quality, maintainability, and the platform's reliability.
  • Work closely with Product, taking full responsibility and ownership of Tier 1 services from conception to post-deployment in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Provide platform services for other teams. We want them to move fast and be able to do so as autonomously as possible. Collaborate with key stakeholders and partners in multiple areas of the monday.com organization.

Your Experience & Skills

  • 10+ years of proven track record in building large-scale product and passion for product and production high-scale services.
  • Technical leadership experience (Staff/Architect or similar roles)
  • A hands-on bar raiser: Opinionated about best practices and processes of software development, and comfortable leading and setting standards by example.
  • Able to lead the team in operational excellence, quality, and craftsmanship.
  • Top-notch skills in at least one modern framework/library such as React or Vue.
  • Team player, strong communication skills, empathetic, and someone who thrives working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with distributed microfrontends architecture, TypeScript, or client performance is advantageous.
