Responsibilities:

1. Developing scalable trading infrastructure
2. Participating in all phases of the development of our trading and simulation engines
3. Minimizing latencies to ensure we’re the first to seize on opportunities
4. Building a reliable, high throughput, market feed data collection system
5. Driving solo technical projects to completion starting with self-driven concepts or ideas from our strategy team
6. Creating implementable technical projects for junior members of the team
7. Participating in deciding the future of our stack and architecture

Qualifications

1. Exceptional at writing mission critical production-ready code
2. Thrive in a fast-paced environment
3. Proficient with one or more object-oriented languages (e.g., Java, C#, C++)
4. Looking to tackle hard problems
5. 2+ years of backend engineering work experience

Additional Information

1. Experience at a start-up or a company in a growth phase
2. Deep understanding of Apache Spark
3. Experience working with huge data sets
4. Experience working in a low latency environment
5. Experience with AWS
