Mobile iOS Developer (Hybrid)

Cognizant is looking for an experienced top-notch Native Mobile iOS Developer to grow with our dev team! You will be involved from conception to completion with projects that are technologically sound and aesthetically impressive. Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Design and development of iOS Apps.
• Participate in architecture definition and solution.
• Perform code reviews and ensure the quality of the team’s deliverables.
• Strong communication skills and comfortability speaking with business stakeholders and clients from a technical perspective.
• Build prototypes at the tech scoping stage of projects.
• Create compelling device-specific user interfaces and experiences.
• Optimize performance for the app.
• Effectively communicate with teams and management.
• Understand requirements and coordinate with offshore teams.
• Stay up to date on the latest industry trends in mobile technologies.
• Integrate with backend systems like SAP, Salesforce, and other enterprise systems.
• Handle production issues in a timely manner.
• Lead the team in Agile processes including Standups, Sprint Planning, and Retrospectives.

Required Qualifications:

• 6-8+ years of relevant experience in software development on enterprise-level applications.
• 5+ years of Native iOS experience (preferably client-side).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
• Hands-on experience building native iOS or Mac OS apps using Swift, ObjC, SwiftUI, etc.
• Experience in engineering highly scalable, reliable, and distributed systems.
• Application development and design experience using object-oriented methodologies.
• Experience with DevOps, Jenkins, Maven, GitLab, and version control (e.g., Git).
• Design and develop iOS native/hybrid applications for mobile phones and tablets.
• Strong experience in native iOS development frameworks (API, testing, deployment, etc.).
• Experience consuming web services using JSON/XML.
• Experience writing unit test cases using XCTest/OCUnit and XCUItest for integration.
• Solid understanding of software design and patterns like MVC, MVVM, Viper, Delegation, Singleton, Factory, Adapter.
• UI Development experience using SwiftUI/Combine is a plus; Storyboards are a must.
• Familiarity with agile development/waterfall processes and methodologies.
• Expertise in app memory management, multithreading, networking, and security.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $68,422K – $114,000K depending on experience and qualifications.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
