Do you have a 2-year technical degree in CNC programming, CNC machining, CNC Lathe, OR High School diploma/GED equivalent and 7 years equivalent work experience AND 5 years of experience with CAM Programming software (i.e., Gibbs CAM, Mastercam, Tebis) programming CNC machines including vertical and horizontal lathes & mills AND 5 years' experience working in a metal fabrication production environment AND are skilled using SolidWorks and AutoCAD 2D to review designs to be fabricated? THE RIGHT STAFF is partnering with a client who is in need of a CNC Programmer .

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Generate CAM Programs for all CNC Mills, Lathes, and Plasma Cutting Tables
2. Partner with Operations and Manufacturing Engineering resources to develop multi-year investment strategies for upgrading existing assets or procuring new technologies
3. Lead the operations team on all Technical Machining issues, including equipment selection, CNC/Machine Programs, Tooling & Part Fixturing, and run speeds to meet production demands and communicated via machine set-up sheets
4. Active Leader for Continuous Improvements on all Metal Fab operations
5. Provide technical information and recommendations on manufacturing techniques/technologies
6. Maintain and update CAM software packages
7. Where needed, provide training to other personnel on Metal Fab topics and CAM software
8. Practice the principles and participate in the Electric Machinery Safety and Continuous Improvement efforts

REQUIREMENTS - KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

1. Please see first paragraph above!
2. Ideally experienced specifically with Gibbs CAM and ProNest
3. Strong CNC machining background and experience in feeds and speeds of the machining assets
4. Hands-on experience with CNC Machining, Lathes, and/or Plasma Cutting Tables highly desired
5. Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions
6. Strong communication skills; articulating instructions to personnel, writing procedures, and developing and deploying manufacturing processes
7. Proficiency in computer skills, MS Office, and electronic data management

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be able to lift twenty-five (25) pounds unassisted
2. Routinely ascends/descends ladders and stairs
3. Occasionally works at heights or on platforms
4. Occasionally positions self in various workspaces, including low, tight or confined spaces
5. Routinely remains in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time
6. Occasionally uses repetitive motions including the wrists, hands or fingers to operate computers, machinery or tools

HOURS, PAY and BENEFITS:

1. Direct Hire

4. 1st Shift, Monday - Friday (Flexible Start: 6 A.M., 6:30 A.M., 7:00 A.M., 7:30 A.M., 8:00 A.M. - 8 hour days (without or with 30 min or 60 min lunch break)/40 hours/week
5. Pay $70K - $80K (DOE/DOQ)
