Description:

Day to day duties – Conversion from Foxboro to PlantPAx logic, reviewing communication between both systems, attending meetings, site visit (1 week/cutover), coordination with other team members and lead engineer, sharing updates with Lead engineer and PM.

Years of experience required: 8+

Education requirements: BS in Engineering preferred or other relevant degree.

Computer knowledge required to perform duties: Yes.

Responsibilities:

1. Emerging technical leader. Takes ownership of technical tasks with minimal direction.
2. Analyzes customer's requirements to determine the optimal control system solution and determines applicable hardware and software control configuration/architecture.
3. Performs conceptual hardware & software systems design, determination of control system strategy to meet customers’ requirements while complying with industry codes/standards and assure that personnel/machinery safety practices are implemented.
4. Performs software development and design of custom application software.
5. Oversee integration of 3rd party hardware and control systems.
6. Write technical specifications and project reports as required.
7. Lead the technical planning and direction of internal and customer system testing.
8. Takes ownership of issues, capable of engaging all levels of the organization to drive issues to resolution.
9. Provide on-site control system commissioning as required.
10. Experience in the design of industrial automation control systems and/or related application experience.
11. Leadership capability in applications of the different areas of automation systems including the interaction of mechanical, fluid, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
12. Technical writing capabilities.
13. Presentation skills.
14. Communicates in a professional manner.
15. Effectively manages their own natural reactions so there are no behaviors getting in the way of their effectiveness.
16. Self-starter and ability to complete tasks independently, on time.
17. Team player with the ability to integrate with other team project members.
18. Acts as a leader in diverse settings and company.
