Sr. Data Scientist
Description:
- Provide IT Architecture support to designing objective systems architecture and integrating intelligence applications and communications to enable effective solutions for USCENTCOM and theater components in support of USCENTCOM Planning Efforts.
- Develop Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) derived operational (OV-1 through OV-4) and system (SV-1 through SV-4) architecture views for each assigned intelligence IT system project.
- Develop and create technical intelligence operational (OV-1 through OV-4) and system (SV-1 through SV-4) architecture drawings, sketches, and documents; as well as, easily discernible, professional, quality-level slides, diagrams, and supporting documents from highly technical systems architecture drawings, sketches, and documents/concepts.
- Conduct extensive research on IT systems, applications, and hardware solutions leading to identification of existing or new capabilities that can be engineered to build independent or combined end-to-end solutions for functional user requirements.
- Analyze, recommend, and conduct mitigation and/or resolution of IT issues for USCENTCOM J2 specialty IT areas.
- Develop and prepare IT project documents (Microsoft Project Plans, Integrated/Master Project Plan, Charter, CONOPS, status reports, etc.) with established requirements, priorities, and deadlines for all J2 IT project requirements.
- Document, report, and follow-up attendance at meetings, video/voice teleconferences, conferences, and events inside and outside of the command for USCENTCOM J2 related intelligence IT systems, architecture, and projects.
- Engage and coordinate with USCENTCOM Directorates, USCENTCOM Divisions, Component Commands, Combat Support Agencies, and other IC-related organizations to fully coordinate IT system related intelligence requirements and associated system deployments for USCENTCOM J2.
- Engineer, develop, and create solutions and define associated hardware/software requirements for any USCENTCOM J2 IT system related issues. Document as required via Engineering Design Diagrams/Documents (EDD), System Configuration documentation, System Operations and Maintenance Documents (SOMD), and Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation.
- Draft a Systems and Architecture Appendix in support of all USCENTCOM plans/orders.
(IT Architecture Specialist - Coalition Integration and Exercises)
- Provide IT Architecture support to designing objective systems architecture and integrating intelligence applications/communications to enable effective solutions for USCENTCOM and theater components in support of USCENTCOM coalition integration.
- Support gathering, vetting, documenting, assigning, and tracking of information sharing requirements with traditional/nontraditional mission partners and ensuring the appropriate information is available to the DoDIIS enterprise.
- Provide systems and process evaluation on, design, development and/or implementation as required to support information sharing or automation requirements.
- Collect coalition information sharing or automation requirements within the USCENTCOM AOR, participate in the development of coalition information sharing strategies, and monitor the development and/or implementation of tools supporting information sharing.
- Effectively communicate with seniors; develop/present briefings and materials to coalition stakeholders ranging from information sharing requirements to technical descriptions of applicable tools.
- Assist in the migration planning for systems being deactivated and track/participate in system design efforts for new information sharing systems coming on board.
- Provide support in designing objective systems architecture and integrating intelligence applications/communications to enable effective solutions for USCENTCOM J2 and theater components.
- Develop DoDAF derived operational (OV-1 through OV-4) and system (SV-1 through SV-4) architecture views for each assigned intelligence IT system/architecture project.
Job Requirements
Desired experience:
- Desired minimum 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
Desired education:
- Desired master’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; or have Bachelor’s degree related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 17 years, as a substitute to the Master’s degree.
Security Clearance:
- Security clearance required TS/SCI with CI POLY or the ability to obtain CI POLY.
