The Software Engineer utilizes strengths in web development and object-oriented programming. The Software Engineer has experience designing, developing, and implementing solutions across multiple core technologies including C#, ASP.NET, Python, React, JavaScript, SQL, and Azure. Software Engineers at Skanska develop new applications using current web technologies. They apply architectural vision and standards into working code and work to enhance and support select applications from the current suite of solutions. They will collaborate with individuals across Skanska IT as well as work with our USB Data Solutions team supporting development needs in this space. An ideal candidate should possess a passion for new technology and a solid background of development experience.

As a member of the Software Engineering team, the software engineer works alongside other software engineers, quality assurance analysts, and collaborates with others across Skanska IT.

Software Engineer Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ Years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • 3+ Years of experience in C# development, ASP.NET development, JavaScript development, and Python development;
  • Demonstrated experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as ReactJS, AngularJS, Bootstrap;
  • Experience with MVC, object-oriented programming, SQL, and database concepts;
  • Experience with basic infrastructure fundamentals and iterative project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Kanban);
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate with technical peers and business partners;
  • Experience with TypeScript;
  • Azure PaaS experience, including job automation;
  • Experience with Azure DevOps preferred.
