Minimum Requirements:

  1. Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
  2. Prior hands-on experience coding in Java
  3. Prior hands-on experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and Microservice Architectures
  4. Prior hands-on experience architecting and designing frameworks to be used by applications that are running on a J2EE platform
  5. Prior hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
  6. Prior hands-on experience with IaaS, PaaS, and Cloud Services such as AWS or Azure

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

  1. Active TS/SCI Clearance
  2. Technical diagnostic expertise including problem investigation, reproduction, and resolution skills
  3. Ability to acquire new skills efficiently

  5. Understands and can implement CI/CD strategies

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Primary author of technical reports/presentations for projects of moderate/high complexity. Compile report input from other researchers and prepare final report deliverable.
  2. Lead and/or contribute to white papers and proposals.
  3. Architect and design frameworks used by applications that are running on J2EE platforms.
  4. Create, refactor, and/or implement Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and/or Microservice Architectures (MSA).
  5. Assist with and understand the building of applications using stored procedures, functions, and triggers on RDBMS such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.
  6. Own the product throughout the software lifecycle from ideation to deployment.
  7. Contribute with hands-on development (not a design only position).
  8. Engage in code reviews to ensure team members are contributing code that meets the short and long-term goals of our applications and architecture.
  9. Promote innovation within your team's work. Articulate context internally for the team and to the larger organization.
  10. Consult with management, development, infrastructure, test, and operational teams to address issues relating to application architecture, such as performance and availability, and recommend solutions.
  11. Provide the technical coaching to get your team to experiment and to solve technical problems in unique ways.
  12. Lead and participate in the conceptual phases of identifying and solving business problems and initiatives.
  13. Own Architectural design of the major pieces (business capabilities and internal processing).
  14. Provide Oversight and governance of current and next generation software solutions.
  15. Provide technical expertise in proof-of-concept, archetype evaluations, and implementations.

Pay Rate: Starting at $70/hr
