$200,000.00/yr - $350,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive legal counsel on all M&A activities within the energy industry, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Lead and manage complex transactions involving tax equity, renewable energy, and finance.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory filings.
  • Work closely with the business development team to identify, evaluate, and execute potential M&A opportunities.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to mitigate risks and protect the company's interests.
  • Advise on corporate governance matters and ensure the company is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, legal developments, and regulatory changes in the energy sector.
  • Provide training and guidance to other team members on legal matters related to M&A and the energy industry.

Qualifications

  • Experience with debt and tax equity project finance and M&A, managing deals and teams
  • Mid level Attorney with regulatory M&A transactional experience in the renewable energy industry
  • Tax Equity
  • Enjoy the challenge of negotiating and drafting complex transactions;
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and desire to understand how a project serves clients goals;
  • A commitment to client service and team success;
  • Ability to communicate business goals into contract language;
  • JD from an accredited university.
  • Good Tenure, no job hoppers
  • This person will help on the project counsel side; experience in buying and selling M&A and regulatory will be helpful. This client represents borrowers. They like people who work in niche industries like (fishery, alcohol beverage clients, liquor, hospitals).
