Position Overview
Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering's Transportation/Civil Department leads the development of civil engineering design for significant infrastructure projects in North America. Our multi-disciplinary team works collaboratively to improve schedules, control costs, and minimize risks. We design innovative, constructible solutions with a focus on safety, benefiting clients through proven processes and tools.
Location
This role will be based out of Kiewit’s Lone Tree, CO location.
Responsibilities
- Lead highway and civil design tasks, acting in responsible charge as needed.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate junior staff.
- Oversee creation of surface models utilizing InRoads, Civil3D, and/or other similar design software.
- Lead interdisciplinary design coordination to ensure project element compatibility.
- Create preliminary design concepts and alternatives for highways and civil features to support cost estimating.
- Lead project technical meetings, providing coordination to resolve design issues.
- Execute final design of project elements such as roadway geometrics, roadway design plans, signing and marking plans, maintenance of traffic plans, wall plan and profile sheets.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of civil/highway design experience with an emphasis on design-build projects.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer.
- Experience designing civil/highway/rail or other transportation infrastructure or similar projects.
- Familiarity with design-build delivery is preferred.
- Working knowledge of MicroStation or AutoCAD platforms.
- Experience developing construction plans for transportation projects is preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.

Base Compensation
$110,000/yr - $120,000/yr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
