RATE RANGE: $30/hr-$40/hr
Summary: Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Microsoft Exchange Administrator to maintain and support the organization's email systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expert-level knowledge in Microsoft Exchange and Office 365, along with solid experience in server maintenance, Active Directory management, and virtual environments. The role requires proactive problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet organizational goals.
Responsibilities: Exchange & Office 365 Management: Maintain and administer Microsoft Exchange servers and Office 365 accounts, including setup, rollout, and troubleshooting.
System Administration: Manage physical and virtual computer systems, ensuring their optimal operation. Maintain system documentation, schedules, and backup logs.
Active Directory Management: Manage and administer Active Directory user groups, security levels, and related tasks (activation, deactivation, archiving).
File Server Maintenance: Oversee file servers, including adding, archiving, and maintaining public and private shares.
VPN Management: Maintain VPN accounts and systems, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure secure access to the network.
Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with security, support, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless operations.
Hardware and Server Buildouts: Assist with the setup, configuration, and migration of new hardware, servers, and Data Center infrastructure.
Policy and Procedure Development: Contribute to the creation and improvement of infrastructure-related policies and procedures.
Mentorship & Training: Mentor and assist in training IT specialists to elevate team capabilities and performance.
Project Execution: Collaborate with teams on projects, ensuring goals are achieved within set timelines.
Professionalism & Communication: Approach assignments with urgency and professionalism, using effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
Requirements: Technical Expertise: Expert-level knowledge in Exchange & Office 365 deployment, administration, and troubleshooting.
Extensive experience with virtual servers and VMWare for provisioning and maintenance.
In-depth skills in Active Directory/DC management, including domain combinations, policy creation, and AD cleanup.
Knowledge of Proofpoint, Array Network Appliances, and Powershell scripting is a plus.
Non-Technical Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
Self-starter with strong judgment and initiative, capable of working with minimal supervision.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
