The Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) plays a critical role in developing advanced long-range technology in collaboration with product divisions and strategic marketing, working on future technology like light sources, lasers, and sensors. We provide our broad technology expertise and cross-division experience to ensure we leverage the collective knowledge within our company.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for a Senior FPGA Design Engineer to join our CTO team in Milpitas!

Responsibilities

• Define requirements and develop camera and network projects from concept to pre-production.
• Develop complex, high-speed, innovative FPGA-based designs including design, verification, simulations, synthesis, place and route, and timing closure.
• Bring-up and debug FPGA, PCB, and camera systems.
• Write engineering documentation for internal release.
• Collaborate with team members to solve complex camera and networking challenges.

Qualifications

• Experience with designs using SerDes for high-speed communication.
• Previous experience with imaging camera and networking systems desirable.
• Experience with image processing implementations in hardware.
• Hands-on experience with lab bring-up and camera test setups.
• Good collaborator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with System Verilog and Vivado for design, build, and verification. UVM a plus.
• Experience with embedded software and Linux a plus.
• Experience with machine learning implementations in hardware a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years.
