Job Description

As the IT Manager with focus in Infrastructure and End User Support, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, including all hardware and software, networks, servers, and storage devices. The IT Manager will also be responsible for overseeing end user support activities, ensuring that all employees receive the necessary technical assistance to perform their jobs effectively.

This job requires access to confidential and sensitive information, requiring ongoing discretion and secure information management. You will report to the Director of IT.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware and software, networks, servers, and storage devices.
  • Ensure that all hardware and software are up-to-date and secure, and that they meet the organization's performance requirements.
  • Define, organize, manage, and lead multiple project implementations in a fast-paced IT environment across multiple functional teams.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all IT infrastructure components.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures that are in line with industry best practices and meet the organization's requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the IT team, ensuring that all team members are motivated, productive, and committed to achieving the organization's goals.
  • Manage the organization's help desk and end user support activities, ensuring that all employees receive timely and effective technical assistance.
  • Develop and implement IT training programs for end users to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
  • Evaluate and recommend new hardware and software technologies that could enhance the organization's IT infrastructure and end user support activities.
  • Monitor programs/projects from initiation through delivery, including internal products or administrative systems, while interfacing with internal customers or department personnel.
  • Collaborate with application owners on project requirements, quality, progress, user stories, and user acceptance testing.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on end user support.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale IT infrastructure projects.
  • Strong technical skills in networking, servers, storage devices, O365, MS Azure Administration, Cybersecurity and end user computing.
  • Experience with ERP Systems (Great Plains, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle).
  • Possesses expertise in project management methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • Experience with IT Business Continuity Plan and/or Disaster Recovery Plan creation and annual test execution.
  • Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for justifying a project, equipment or staffing expenditures by identifying cost, benefits, opportunities and threats.
  • Knowledge of process for evaluation and selection of products, tools, services and infrastructure components in line with organization’s business needs and architectural principles.
  • Experience in developing and implementing IT policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in IT infrastructure management, such as ITIL, CompTIA, or Cisco.
  • Experience in managing IT infrastructure in a regulated industry, cloud Solutions and Hybrid environments.
  • Six Sigma or PMI/PMP Certification is a plus.
