What you will be doing:
As an IT Applications and Development Manager, you will lead and mentor a talented team of software engineers. You will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement enterprise applications and related integrations
- Design, develop, and architect solutions that deliver value to the organization
- Manage the lifecycle of enterprise applications from selection/development and implementation to maintenance and upgrades
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering their professional growth
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project scope and objectives
- Automate release pipelines and testing to improve the quality of deliverables
- Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
- Actively manage project timelines and resources
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout the software development lifecycle
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in software development
Requirements:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
- Project Management Certification is a big plus
- 10+ years of experience in IT and software engineering roles
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role
What you need:
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex software projects
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
- Experience implementing and maintaining enterprise applications (ERP, WMS, MES)
- Experience with ERP integrations (EDI, ECommerce, etc)
- Experience with .Net C# and other object-oriented programming languages (Java, C++, Python, etc.)
- Proficiency in DevOps management tools and code repositories (Jira, Azure Dev Ops, GitHub, etc)
- Understanding of web languages and frameworks (JavaScript, HTML, CSS/SASS, BootStrap)
- Experience with SQL and SQL server (Oracle is a plus)
- Experience with test and QA automation tools
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS)
- Knowledge of Cloud ERP systems (Epicor Kinetic) is a huge plus
- Manufacturing experience is a plus
