Position Overview

Under the direction of the CI Manager/Site TPM Leader, this position is a critical leader of the Journey to Excellence; the integration of High Performance Work Systems (HPWS) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) at the Site. The Training Manager is the system owner for the Site Training & Development program, as well as the Leader of the Training & Development (T&D) Pillar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training & Development System Owner
    • Partner with the plant leadership team to determine training needs that will drive manufacturing excellence for the facility.
    • Design, development, and implementation of the training strategy and program structure that is integrated with the Journey to Excellence.
    • Partner with key leaders in the organization to design and develop (or update) Technician Work System.
    • Support the Technician Work System by establishing a site level qualification process and providing on-going governance to process.
  • Develop and implement training standards and measures that support the vision of self-sufficient teams
    • Ensure the implementation and effectiveness of an on-boarding and early development program for new employees.
    • Determine instructional methods and select or develop teaching aids.
    • Primary support of new technologies as they become available, coordinating and preparing training schedules to accommodate facility needs.
    • Evaluate training effectiveness and assess quality and success of the program.
    • Control the training expenses and manage expenditures to meet the training needs.
    • Manage site or department training leaders.
    • Ownership of the Training and Development Systems.
    • Lead and develop direct reports.
  • Regional T&D Pillar Team Participant
    • Actively partner with other Site Training Managers on the Regional T&D Pillar team to support HPO Work Systems implementation.
    • Provide framework for overarching training methodologies through standardization with other functions.
    • Determine learning management system solution that will meet the needs of the manufacturing sites and JTE.
    • Support the development of robust curriculum for both operational and soft skills.
  • T&D Pillar Leader
    • Leadership of Pillar team to manage the site through the T&D Efeso Route.
    • Establishment of the T&D Pillar and capability building of the team.
    • Foster the development of internal subject matter experts through Train-the-Trainer program.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors or equivalent in Business, HR, Engineering, Supply Chain, Management, OD or related or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant training experience, with experience developing curriculum and training materials.
  • Experience working in a High Performance Work Systems (HPWS) and/or Self Directed Work Team environment.
  • A strong understanding of TPM or lean manufacturing.
  • Developed, polished communication and facilitation skills.
  • Critical - Able to work both strategically and hands-on to deliver results.

Base Salary: $86,390 - $151,220

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer.
