Job Description

The Programmer is an entry-level position assisting in the design and delivery of custom features, reports, and integrations within the Salesforce platform. Develops, documents, tests and troubleshoots the Tulane fundraising system of record for the purposes of reporting and extracting data, creating client dashboards, and integrating with third-party applications. Collaborates with business analysts and project managers to gather and analyze requirements. Assists with data imports as needed. Keeps up to date with the latest Salesforce technologies and best practices for fundraising purposes.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  1. Excellent written and verbal communications skills with ability to communicate verbally and in writing with both non-technical end-users and technical staff.
  2. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  3. Demonstrated understanding of database principles, such as normalization and indexing.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  5. Knowledge of web development technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  6. Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Required Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical field.
• Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience as a Salesforce Developer or related certifications are highly desirable.
  2. Proficiency in using tools, such as Informatica and Apsona for Salesforce.
