Position Overview

The Role

Pure Storage is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Santa Clara, CA. In this role, you will leverage AWS services to design and develop microservices using Java, Python, or Golang to solve complex business problems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive our company's success.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Java, Python, or Golang on AWS.
• Architect and implement cloud-based solutions that are secure, reliable, and performant.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the application stack.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (Snowflake, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.
• Ensure that all software developed adheres to the best practices, coding standards, and security requirements.
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions are cutting-edge.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or Golang.
• Extensive experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB).
• Proven track record of building and deploying microservices at scale.
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
• Understanding of security best practices in cloud-native applications.

Pay Range

USD $163,000.00 - USD $246,000.00 /Yr.

Pay Transparency Statement

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level, and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
