Responsibilities & Skills

Senior Linux Engineer Required Experience & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
• 10+ years of experience with implementing and managing Linux Server based solutions in an enterprise network environment
• 10+ years of experience with engineering server solutions to support LDAP, SSO, and VMware integrations
• 5+ years supporting EDA compute farms
• 10+ years of experience with designing and configuring Linux server integration with antivirus, backup, patch management, and system monitoring solutions
• Experience with Linux server patch management repositories
• Experience with implementing Red Hat or other Linux Operating Systems STIG remediations
• Experience with scripting languages, including PowerShell, VBScript, or Python
• Experience in coordinating with change control and environment management, network, and security teams
• Experience in automation of server deployment, common tasks, and installation procedures
• Experience with VMware virtual server environments and configuring systems for maximum performance and operating flexibility
• Knowledge of networking technologies, including managing Windows systems and applications running on these systems
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
