Program
The program aims to offer a positive work/training experience aligned with career goals and education level. Interns will be part of the Mechanical Engineering team, gaining hands-on experience in office and field settings and actively contributing to client projects. The program emphasizes real-world industry exposure, including visits to project sites and internal training opportunities, fostering a unique learning experience and encouraging participation in company events.
Schedule
The Summer lasts 10-12 weeks, starting in June and ending in August - September, depending on the candidate's availability.
Responsibilities:
- Project Support: Assist the engineering team in the execution of ongoing projects. Conduct research and analysis to contribute to project development. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
- Design and Prototyping: Contribute to the design process by creating and modifying engineering drawings. Participate in prototyping activities to test and validate design concepts.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Assist in conducting tests to ensure the functionality and reliability of engineering solutions. Work closely with quality assurance teams to identify and address potential issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation. Generate reports and summaries to communicate project progress.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals. Participate in team meetings, providing valuable insights and feedback.
- Learning and Development: Engage in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills. Seek opportunities for continuous learning and development within the engineering field.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Training in Revit and/or AutoCAD is a plus.
- FE/EIT is a plus.
- Trained to utilize CAD/BIM standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a highly energetic and multiple-engagement environment, dedication to teamwork, a strong work initiative, and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas; detail-oriented.
