Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of financial reporting for taxes including accounting for income taxes in the US and international under IFRS and US GAAP.
- Prepare the global tax provision under both standards.
- Prepare tax memos to support the company's tax position including analysis of transactions against tax laws in different jurisdictions.
- Provide audit support including preparation of memos and schedules. Discuss tax matters with the external audit firm.
- Implement internal controls over taxes and comply with SOX requirements.
- Responsible for completion of federal, international, and state corporate income tax returns, including related analysis, support, and oversight/coordination of third-party preparers.
- Primary responsibilities for US, France, Germany, Italy, Canada, and India. Assistance/review role on UK and Poland overseeing a tax team member's work as lead in those countries.
- Responsible for audits of federal and state income tax, state and local filings, and international (as applicable).
- Prepare semi-annual tax schedules for controlling shareholder company financials.
- Responsible for transfer pricing calculations and arrangements.
- Liaise with management, legal and finance on tax issues and tax accounting issues.
- Calculate and monitor cash tax payments (primary in the US and secondary in the UK).
- Oversee the R&D Credit calculations in the US while supporting as reviewer of the preparation of the UK RDEC claim.
- Responsible for company's VAT compliance - including preparation, filing, workpapers, reconciliations, reviews, and oversight (specific responsibilities vary by jurisdiction). Primary responsibilities for France and the Italy Branch. Assistance/review role on other international entities.
- Responsible for the completion of all sales and use tax returns in the US, Seattle B&O tax, and OH CAT tax.
- Prepare and file US property tax returns annually.
- Prepare GL reconciliations of all tax accounts and GL analyses for GL accounts with tax impact and preparation of JEs, as needed.
- Other special projects as assigned.
