Anika Systems is a fast-growing small business that specializes in providing innovative IT solutions for federal government agencies. Our expertise lies in accelerating delivery in Data and Analytics, Intelligent Automation, Application Development, and IT Modernization. We are currently expanding our federal team and are looking for a Systems Administrator.


This position is currently remote; however, in accordance with federal contract requirements and company policy, there may be future changes to work location expectations. Candidates should be prepared for the possibility of a return to the office, either partially or fully, based on client directives, contractual obligations, or company policies. Any such changes will be communicated in advance.


Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a government suitability clearance.


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Systems Administrator to manage the lifecycle of operating systems, hardware, and software within our organization. The ideal candidate will work closely with vendors, ensure compliance with security protocols, and collaborate with the help desk to resolve technical issues efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the full lifecycle of operating systems for servers, PCs, Macs, scanners, and printers.
  2. Work with vendors for hardware and software support, ensuring smooth maintenance and upgrades.
  3. Stay informed on vendor support procedures and upcoming upgrades that may impact current systems.
  4. Oversee preventive maintenance contracts for application software.
  5. Ensure compliance with hardware and software security policies.
  6. Collaborate with the help desk team to diagnose and resolve customer technical issues.

Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Experience in IT systems administration, technical support, or a related field.
  2. Strong knowledge of operating systems, hardware, and enterprise software.
  3. Ability to work with vendors to manage support and upgrade processes.
  4. Familiarity with IT security compliance and best practices.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
