A Software Engineer job is available with our client in Manassas, VA. In this role, you will be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for designing and developing software supporting the U.S. Navy's platforms. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Due to the nature of the work performed in this facility, US Citizenship is required.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Knowledge or experience with Navy's Common Weapon Launcher and/or Multi-Tube Weapon Simulator.
- Clear understanding of the software engineering concepts, principles, theories, software development process, and agile methodology.
- Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.
- Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a Master's Degree.
- Experience with Java.
- Experience with C/C++.
- Experience with Linux and Bash.
- Experience with React and Typescript.
