Pre-Sales Engineer

Role:
We're seeking a highly motivated Pre-Sales Engineer to join our team and provide technical and sales expertise to our customers in the Southwest & Midwest United States. You'll play a key role in the entire sales cycle, from identifying customer needs to implementation and training. This is a fast-paced and rewarding opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys tackling complex technical challenges.
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with sales team to identify and qualify new opportunities for M-I applications and solutions.
- Conduct customer visits and pre-sales assessments to understand current systems and recommend improvements.
- Design, document, and present complex application solutions tailored to specific customer needs.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for customers throughout the implementation process.
- Collaborate with developers and project managers to ensure successful project execution.
- Lead complex installations and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and customer training.
- Continuously learn and stay up-to-date on new technologies and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the development of M-I employee skills and knowledge.
- Provide support for new product releases and Voice of Customer (VOC) initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in technical support or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
- Demonstrated expertise in electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Strong understanding of discrete wiring, networking, and software implementation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Ability to learn and implement industrial communication protocols (e.g., NGPCL).
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Southwest & Midwest United States (daily and overnight trips possible).
