Our Sales Application Engineers are pivotal in driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of our sales process. As a key technical advisor and product advocate, you will play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales journey.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with engineers and end-users.
- Serve as a bridge between customers and Discflo’s sales engineers, customer service, and manufacturing.
- Correctly identify and document customer requirements to ensure a smooth sales process.
- Provide answers to sales inquiries through prompt and precise responses.
- Prepare quotations and bid documents.
- Maintain high-level product knowledge and application standards.
- Address technical elements of RFIs/RFPs to ensure proper product selection/quotation.
- Maintain accurate records in company-approved databases.
- Resolve customer issues in alignment with company values.
- Provide Management Team with regular updates on ongoing and future projects.
- Share product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information with team members as needed to successfully close sales & provide quality products to customers.
- Drive customer acceptance through effective cost reductions and operation improvements.
- Contribute to team goals and deliver consistent results.
- Establish the primary technical relationship with customers.
- Support the marketing team in implementing targeted market programs and securing new business.
- Assure thorough and rigorous customer technical training to help minimize installation and operational concerns and ensure high-level customer satisfaction.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or five to ten years related experience, required.
EXPERIENCE: Five to ten years related experience is required. An engineering degree is desired, but a degree in another related field is acceptable. More important is good mechanical aptitude, common sense, and above-average telephone communication skills. Organizational and follow-up skills are a must. Above all, a strong customer service attitude and willingness to go above and beyond is an absolute necessity.
- Inside or territory sales experience selling mechanical equipment, instrumentation, or related process equipment.
- Customer-driven with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task daily.
- Knowledge of and ability to read & understand mechanical schematics/drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining consistent workflow.
- Prior experience with pumps and systems is strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to communicate in both oral and written form, ability to see and hear other personnel and/or objects, ability to travel within and outside the facility, capability of using a multiline telephone system and a computer keyboard. The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting. Activities include extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer or other devices.
