Our client, a top-tier Boston based private equity firm is seeking a Tax Manager to join their growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with tax compliance process for all funds
- Review of draft and final K-1s
- Provide quarterly financial information to tax service provider
- Review calculations of quarterly taxable estimates
- Review federal and state extensions and returns
- Review taxable income calculations and workpapers from tax service provider
- Act as point of contact with tax service provider and manage communications
- Assist Tax Director with transaction and structuring decisions
- Develop deep understanding of our private equity, credit, and technology fund structures
- Prepare intermediary financial statement information
- Respond to limited partner tax questions and requests
- Assist with maintaining partner information
- Manage tax information process on investor portal
- Assist with flow of information between tax and accounting teams
Qualifications:
- 4-7 years prior tax experience either within the financial services industry or public accounting experience specializing in private equity clients
- Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
- Put an emphasis on attention to detail
