Senior Tax Manager or Director of Tax (Remote)

Base pay range

$160,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and filing of all federal, state and local tax returns
• Organize and manage legal filings and documents
• Oversee the proper recording and reporting of M&A activities for tax purposes
• Develop tax strategies
• Provide guidance on tax-related matters
• Prepare documentation and support for audits
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the firm
• Conduct research on complex tax issues

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Federal and state tax experience required
• Big 4 or large tax consulting firm foundation preferred
• M&A tax experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Great Plains, Oracle, Oracle PBCS and other accounting software
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local tax regulations
• Exceptional understanding of tax law, regulations, and accounting principles
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
• Legal experience is a plus
