Senior Data Analyst

Job Description

Overview

A leading distributor serving the automotive industry is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our growing company. The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights, then communicating these findings through clear visualizations and reports to inform strategic decision-making within the organization. This is an on-site position, located at the company’s Elgin, IL headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Data Acquisition and Cleaning: Extract data from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files) and perform data cleansing to ensure accuracy and quality.
  2. Data Analysis: Utilize statistical methods and SQL queries to analyze data, identifying trends, correlations, and anomalies.
  3. Data Visualization: Create compelling data visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
  4. Reporting: Develop and deliver regular reports summarizing key findings and actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  5. Modeling: Build predictive models using statistical techniques to forecast future trends and outcomes.
  6. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate data insights into actionable strategies.

  3. Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  4. Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles.
