Title: ITS Project Manager
Location: Hybrid
Duration: 12 month contract with option to extend for up to 5 years total

Job Description:

• Serve as the Project Manager for the ITS portion of organization's ERP replacement project to Workday, known as NextGen, and other related projects in ITS as needed. ITS NextGen workstreams include Application Development, Data Conversion, Reporting and Integrations.
• Manage all aspects related to ITS such as maintain project plan, provide status reports, and working with project teams to identify and manage project risks, issues and change orders.

Obligations:
The ITS Project Manager will be responsible for working with external vendors and implementation team to:

1. Oversee the ITS portion of the project.
2. Establish and maintain agile and waterfall project plans for the ITS workstreams, including Application Development, Data Conversion, and Reporting and Integrations.
3. Create, maintain, and manage change orders impacting scope, resources, or budget.
4. Provide support and team leadership to have the technical staff complete tasks on time.
5. Facilitate project planning and check-in meetings.
6. Track and communicate project status reports or presentations to stakeholders and executives.
7. Coordinate with stakeholders to create impactful reporting on behalf of the organization.
8. Document and proactively manage project risks, issues, assumptions, decisions, and dependencies.
9. This individual will work with the ITS system office, campuses, contractor/vendors and create detailed project plans with milestones.
10. This individual must be able to manage multiple projects related to information technology.
11. This individual will be required to follow policies, guidelines, and procedures.
12. Facilitate planning discussions with technical and business teams within and external.
13. Capture and record meeting notes and ensure action items are complete promptly.
14. Effectively balance the needs of the client, team, timeline, and solution scope.

Required Skills:
Candidates submitted by respondents must have the following skills:

1. Two (2) engagements as a project manager
2. Five (5) years of project management of ITS projects
3. Three (3) years of proven ability to prioritize work in a high-pressure stressful environment

Desired Skills:
The following skills are desired for candidates submitted by respondents:

1. Three (3) years of experience working in a government and/or public higher education environment specifically as a project manager
2. Three (3) years of experience working on projects that involve multiple areas of technology (development, infrastructure, network, security)
3. One (1) engagement with ERP systems, such as Workday
4. One (1) engagement with this educational org or similar institution enterprise IT operations
5. Familiarity managing plans using waterfall or agile methodologies

Work Location and Travel:
Work location can be mostly remote. There are times when this position will be expected to work in St. Paul. It could be several days a month to a couple days per week. It will vary. We are expecting this position to travel to campus locations throughout the State. The travel expectation is 0-25%.

Compensation:
The projected hourly range for this position is $100-$115.
