Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer

Our client, a rapidly growing company based in McKinney, Texas, is looking to expand their infrastructure team.

Position Overview:

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's infrastructure systems. You will be working with cutting-edge technology to support our business operations, ensuring the systems are secure, efficient, and high-performing. You will also play a key role in managing Fortinet security devices, Ubiquiti network equipment, and working with cloud-based solutions within the Azure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage, configure, and maintain Fortinet security devices and Ubiquiti networking equipment.
2. Oversee the implementation, configuration, and management of systems and applications in an Azure cloud environment.
3. Design, deploy, and support network and infrastructure systems, ensuring security, availability, and performance.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, including networking, security, and systems-related challenges.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and maintain system uptime.
6. Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and assist in infrastructure planning.
7. Implement backup, disaster recovery, and system redundancy protocols.
8. Document system configurations, procedures, and architecture for reference and compliance purposes.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience working with Fortinet firewalls and Ubiquiti networking devices (e.g., UniFi).
2. Strong hands-on experience with Azure, including managing virtual machines, networking, and storage.
3. Solid understanding of infrastructure systems, including servers, storage, and network management.
4. Experience with firewall management, VPN configurations, and security best practices.
5. Knowledge of Windows and Linux-based systems administration.
6. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
9. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, but not required.

Preferred Skills:

1. Certifications in Fortinet (e.g., NSE) or Ubiquiti (e.g., Ubiquiti Certified Installer) are a plus.
2. Familiarity with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
3. Experience with on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure management.

Salary: $100,000 per year
