Tetra Tech INE is currently seeking a Traffic Engineer to support a wide range of high-profile public transportation and private development projects, including sustainable development. You will join our top-notch team of highway/traffic engineers and transportation planners in an engaging, flexible, and collaborative work environment. We are proud to be designing major projects within our region such as the I-90/Allston Multimodal and the Rutherford Ave/Sullivan Square corridor in Boston.

Location: This is a hybrid position with in-office days taking place in our Marlborough, MA office. This office is easily accessible to major highways and near both I-495 and I-290.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and interpret field data in a variety of environments
• Prepare transportation studies, design reports, calculations, and analysis
• Develop traffic models and simulations
• Design traffic signals, timing charts, coordinated signal systems
• Design signing and pavement marking plans
• Design complex intersections, concept plans
• Prepare traffic management plans (TMP), including staging plans

Qualifications:

• 3-7 years of related experience
• BS in Civil Engineering
• EIT certification with a goal of Professional Engineer licensure
• Proficiency with traffic analysis/modeling software, including Synchro, SimTraffic and HCS
• Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and AutoTurn
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with staff from different disciplines and backgrounds
