As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

• Compensation: $31.50 / Hour (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!)
• Schedule: Open availability for scheduling required for weekdays and weekends. Must be available to work mornings, evenings, and overnights. Days off could vary and weekends are required. This is a floater position where the officer will be traveling to various sites in DC, MD, and VA. Having an active armed license for at least one of these states is required. In addition to having baton, handcuff, OC Spray and .38 certifications already completed. Would not guarantee full time hours.

Responsibilities of Tactical Security Guard

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

About the job:

• Respond to incoming security concerns and track outcomes
• Monitor a wide network of security alarms and cameras to identify and resolve threats
• Synthesize large amounts of information quickly
• Create comprehensive records of security-related incidents
• Coordination of routine and critical incident communications
• Understand the proper use of security-related tools and procedures
• Escalate to supervisors when appropriate
• Implement security and access control procedures

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience with customer service
• At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office or Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in the security field as an armed officer
• Must have US military experience (with honorable discharge)
• Ability to multitask and synthesize large amounts of information quickly
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Must be able to pass an extensive background check, online armed assessments, gun range assessment, drug and physical assessments, and various other trainings to be hired

Per contractual agreements with our clients, your professional background must include the minimum of the following in order to be hired:

• You have a high school education or equivalent (GED). Or a college degree/transcript
• You’re able to ace (and pass) an extensive background screening and drug test screening process
• You are at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements.
• Excellent customer service is always your top priority.
• You observe, survey the area, and provide reporting on activity at your assigned location.
• You provide rapid response in critical situations.
• You’re good with reading and writing detailed reports.
