SPLUNK Software Engineer

Scottsdale, AZ

Contract Position

$62.36-$67.36/Hour

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and test specialized software solutions that enhance communication capabilities for military personnel in mission-critical environments.

2. Develop and enhance Splunk-based solutions , creating dashboards, queries, and analytics to improve system performance and security.
3. Support real-time data analysis, monitoring, and reporting , optimizing Splunk Enterprise for mission-critical applications.
4. Integrate new capabilities, enhancements, and replacements for end-of-life components in existing defense communication systems.
5. Perform software development, testing, and troubleshooting , ensuring system reliability in challenging operational environments.
6. Apply technical standards and best practices to develop innovative solutions and improve system functionality.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field ; or a Master’s degree with reduced experience requirements.
2. Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance .
3. Experience:
   1. 5+ years in software development (or 3+ years with a Master’s degree ).
   2. Expertise in Splunk Enterprise dashboard creation and query development .
   3. Proficiency with data mining and analytics tools .
   4. Experience with HTML, XML, SQL, GitLab, and Linux .
   5. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD processes .
