EAG is searching for a Director of Human Resource to lead and execute our HR strategies, ensuring alignment with our business objectives and company culture. This role will oversee all HR functions, including recruiting, compliance, benefits, performance management, and organizational development. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, overseeing all HR operations, executing HR activities, managing the HR and Recruiting team, auditing payroll reconciliations, and driving initiatives to enhance EAG's HR practices. This role plays a crucial part in shaping organizational growth, employee satisfaction, compliance, and efficiency improvements.

Strong personnel management, time management, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, are essential along with the ability to work as part of a team. All members of the EAG team are expected to actively participate in our team environment, communicate with our customers and employees in a professional and service-oriented manner, and identify internal process improvement and optimization opportunities. As EAG continues to grow, our team members must be able to handle changing priorities, new challenges, and multi-tasking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily presence in Houston office (Monday through Friday) to address HR questions, issues and participate in office events.
  • Provide both strategic leadership and hands-on tactical execution.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals and drive company growth.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, advising on workforce planning, retention, organizational development, policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Develop and maintain effective HR processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with executive team and manage HR operations, ensuring the company attracts, hires, onboards, manages, and retains top talent.
  • Oversee employee onboarding and on-going employee support.
  • Manage compensation planning, benchmarking, and reward strategies.
  • Manage benefits administration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and market competitiveness.
  • Lead employee relations and drive performance management processes, including performance reviews, coaching, and termination activities, intended to foster a positive and high-performance culture.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Train, mentor, and develop the HR team, ensuring high-quality work and professional growth.
  • Coach payroll specialist as EAG expands into new states or payroll regulations change.
  • Identify innovative solutions, streamline processes, and drive automation to enhance HR/Recruiting efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Oversee HR systems, analytics, and reporting to improve decision-making and efficiency.
  • Manage HR vendor relationships including software and service providers.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity, engagement, and high performance.

Employment Type:

  • Full Time.

Work Site:

  • Onsite daily, Monday through Friday.

Experience, and Educational Requirements (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources roles including HR management, preferably in a professional services organization.
  • Proven track record in building and leading HR teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to partner with executives and company leaders to drive business and workforce strategies.
  • Deep understanding of HR and recruiting best practices, employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, performance management, compliance and reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices is necessary to ensure federal and state legal compliance.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

  • Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods (8 hours or more) in an office environment.
  • Communication Skills (Speech/Reading): Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English. Ability to understand and deliver instructions in multiple formats, including written, verbal, diagram, and schedule forms.
  • Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 10 pounds as needed.
  • Vision/Hearing Abilities: Capability to interpret a range of instructions presented in various formats (written, verbal, diagram, or schedule).

Other Requirements:

  • A love for working with people along with strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills is crucial.
  • Self-motivated and able to independently prioritize work.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, shift priorities and deadlines, and to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.
  • Aptitude to learn new technology, products, and concepts.
  • Must be based in Houston, Texas.
  • Must be eligible to work for ANY employer in the United States (H1B sponsorship not available at this time).
