Job Title: Google Cloud Security Engineer

Location/ Work Structure: Hybrid- Cincinnati, OH

Compensation: $100,000 - $140,000 annually

Client Overview:

Vernovis is partnering with a company rich in Cincinnati heritage and is known for having very long-term employees. They are building out their IT Security team and looking for candidates with deep understanding of GCP and some previous design experience. This high-profile position will act as the SME and often be the conduit between IT and the business.

What You'll Do:

1. Collaborate with internal security team and external consultants to design, build, and implement security measures and policies
2. Research and engineer enhancements to mitigate control gaps
3. Present proposed solutions, including how it will look and what it will require, to leadership
4. Assist with on-call rotation for security incident response
5. Continue professional development in updates to the GCP and new security technology, risks, and compliance

What You'll Have:

1. High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related IT area preferred
2. Minimum 7 years of experience in Information Technology
3. Minimum 4 years of experience in Information Security
4. Industry certifications, such as GCP and/or GCP certifications, ACE, PCA, PCSE, etc.
5. Strong knowledge of cyber security practices and procedures
6. Strong knowledge of networking and infrastructure best practices
7. Ability to act as the primary SME for Cloud Security
8. Strong working knowledge of the CSF Framework
9. Strong working knowledge of GCP, GCVE required; Azure preferred
