Job Description:

Digital Initiatives is seeking a QA Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the software testing life cycle, be proficient in manual and automation testing, and possess knowledge of programming languages like Java or Python. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software by performing cross-browser and cross-platform testing, working with agile methodologies, and implementing robust testing frameworks.

Responsibilities:

1. Execute manual and automated tests to ensure software meets quality standards.
2. Design, develop, and implement automation frameworks from scratch, using tools like CypressIO, Selenium, and Playwright.
3. Perform load, stress, and performance testing using tools like Apache JMeter.
4. Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing using BrowserStack and Selenium Grid.
5. Collaborate with the development and project management teams in Agile environments using tools like JIRA.
6. Ensure thorough testing of REST APIs using Postman and REST Assured.
7. Work with CI/CD pipelines through Jenkins, implementing continuous testing and integration practices.
8. Utilize SQL to query databases and validate test results.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a QA tester
2. Working experience with Insurance systems development is a definite plus
3. Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life-Cycle (STLC)
4. Proficiency in Java or Python for test automation
5. Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks for recurring tasks
6. Familiarity with testing tools such as CypressIO, Selenium, Playwright, Postman, and Jenkins.
7. Knowledge of SQL database concepts (required).
8. Experience with Agile development methodologies.
9. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with Jenkins for automated testing and deployment.
10. Familiarity with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber and writing tests in Gherkin.
11. Knowledge of Performance testing tools like JMeter.
