Responsibilities:
- Regular inspection of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating parts, replacing worn components, and testing machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, using a variety of tools and techniques. This may involve mechanical repairs, electrical fixes, or software troubleshooting.
- Keeping detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, including any parts used and the time taken to complete each job.
- Ensuring that all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations, to protect both yourself and your colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong technical understanding, with the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
- Excellent mechanical skills, with a good understanding of how different machines and tools work.
- Proficiency in using a variety of tools, both hand and power, to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery and find effective solutions.
