Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vulnerability assessments of the organization's infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud, and endpoints.
- Utilize security scanning tools to conduct regular vulnerability scans, analyze results, and prioritize remediation efforts.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments regularly to assess the effectiveness of security controls.
- Onboard assets for target technologies such as Windows and Linux platforms, desktops, and network devices operating systems in an enterprise security tool like Qualys.
- Create required authentication records for target technologies using secure shell (SSH) and Microsoft Active Directory, Centrify, and Cisco authentication methods for assets in Qualys.
- Schedule and perform infrastructure vulnerability management network scans and troubleshoot any issues if needed.
- Create custom reports and deliver those to the technology owners as part of the secure development life cycle workflows.
- Work with technology owners to track and maintain exceptions to any remediation efforts needing to breach the required service level agreements (SLA).
- Collaborate with key stakeholders within the Bank’s vulnerability management and security configuration compliance monitoring teams and provide project support.
- Set up and maintain the key performance indicators (KPIs) for metrics to track the progress for the infrastructure vulnerability management program maturity.
- Maintain appropriate documentation that defines the Vulnerability Management Program, Policy, and Procedures as part of the governance and compliance.
- Develop vulnerability KPIs/metrics to demonstrate coverage and remediation effectiveness.
- Aggregate vulnerability data across technologies such as endpoints, servers, network equipment, and cloud and interpret and present risk.
- Gather requirements for automation opportunities and implement solutions leveraging automation scripting languages like Python, integration with REST APIs, storing the state in a persistent database like MS SQL Server.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field (or foreign equivalent degree).
Experience: 2 years of experience conducting vulnerability assessments; planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of organizations' data, systems, and networks; deploying patch updates on workstations (Windows and Mac OS) and servers (Windows and Linux); vulnerability analysis and mitigation; and conducting day-to-day security monitoring of networks, servers, and end-user workstations.
Other: Position requires employment in-office 4 days per week and remotely 1 day per week.
Wage: $78,437 to $121,000 U.S. dollars per year
