Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Website Administrator based in our Alexandria, Virginia HQ. Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications, the primary objective of this position is to ensure all RBA web properties are continuously updated with current and useful information for members, their suppliers, non-member companies, and other stakeholders. The RBA has a member portal and five public-facing websites. The member portal in particular is where members access important information on our activities, standards, tools, programs, work groups, task forces, and other resources. Information in the member portal needs to be easy to find and always current. Changes to the public-facing websites include using the content management system to add public documents, new pages, images, videos, web banners, events, and other content. Depending on the successful candidate’s background and skills, the website administrator might also work with our web developer on the major refresh of the RBA’s main public website planned for 2025. Organization and attention to detail are crucial in this position. This is a growing organization serving global members and we are looking for a self-motivated team player.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Work with teams across the organization to ensure content in the member portal and on the five public-facing websites is always up to date.
  • Organize information within the member portal to ensure it’s easy to find; cataloging folders and documents so members can easily access relevant information and know that information is current.
  • Push notifications to members when content relevant to their work groups or task forces has been updated.
  • Identify areas where additional information is needed and work with teams to fill those gaps.
  • Work with the communications/marketing team to ensure content meets RBA brand and style guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience Required:

  • One to five years of experience managing websites
  • Very strong organizational skills and attention to detail with high standards for work products
  • Proactive, self-motivated team player
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
  • Ability to learn new technologies related to website content management
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Experience Desired:

  • Experience working with both intranets and external websites
  • Familiarity with key information architecture principles
  • Expertise with iMIS, MODX, or similar platforms for content management
  • College degree in information systems, information technology, computer science, or similar subjects
  • Industry or association experience would be a plus
