The Aerospace Engines & Power Systems (E&PS) organization involves aspects related to propulsion. They work on developing and innovating various types of engines and propulsion systems, including:
- Turbofan Engines: These engines are known for their performance and efficiency, powering several military & business-class jets.
- Turboprop Engines: These engines provide exceptional horsepower response and best-in-class fuel economy for multiple applications.
- Turboshaft Engines: These engines offer the required power and efficiency for helicopter operations in diverse applications.
The organization is involved in the development of electric power-generation and distribution systems, fuel cells, and electric propulsion systems.
We are seeking Principal Systems Engineers to join our Jet Engine/Turbofan Propulsion Project Engineering team. We are looking for project and program leaders who can quickly integrate into the team and assist in planning, estimating, baselining, and executing complex turbofan engine design and aircraft integration efforts.
Key Responsibilities: - Plan, estimate, baseline, and execute complex turbofan engine design and aircraft integration projects.
- Work with aircraft OEMs, customers, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead and manage project teams, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
- Utilize program management, EVMS, Cost Account Management, Jira/Agile tools, and requirements-based systems engineering skills.
Qualifications: - 10-15 years of experience in engine design, turbofan or fan module design, engine module lead, and aircraft integration or aircraft/propulsion engine certification and testing.
- Strong program management skills and experience with EVMS, Cost Account Management, Jira/Agile tools, and requirements-based systems engineering.
- Ability to work independently and lead teams effectively.
- Experience working with aircraft OEMs and other key stakeholders.
- Local to the Phoenix, Arizona area or willing to relocate within a very short timeframe.
- US Citizen required.
Additional Information:
Interview process likely to start with Teams, with potential for in-person interviews if local. Expectation is full-time, on-site attendance for the first 6 months. Post 6 months, up to 2 days remote and 3 days on-site.
