Job Description

Strategic Growth Partners provide both operations & strategic support to tribal 8(a) & commercial organizations. Our client is seeking a Finance Director based in Redwood City, CA. The Finance Director is responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring financial health, compliance, and strategic planning. This role involves managing budgets, financial forecasting, risk management, and financial reporting while providing leadership to the finance team. This is a full time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure financial stability and growth.
  2. Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  3. Monitor financial performance, analyze trends, and provide strategic recommendations to the executive team.
  4. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and industry best practices.
  5. Manage cash flow, investments, and financial risks to optimize company resources.
  6. Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
  7. Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
  9. Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and investors.
  10. Drive cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiencies to maximize profitability.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. 10-15+ years of experience. Previous experience as a Finance Director.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).
  3. Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in a similar industry.
  4. Strong knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  5. Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools.
  6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  7. Strong leadership and communication abilities with a track record of team development.
  8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a results-driven approach.
