Who You Are

You are a top-notch Data Engineer with deep expertise in Databricks and Azure, capable of solving complex technology issues and driving OnMed’s information management and systems/data integration capabilities. You thrive in environments where innovation and agility are key, and you’re passionate about using technology and data to expand access to quality healthcare.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain data integration solutions using Databricks and Azure cloud solutions, including Azure Data Factory and Azure API Management.
2. Own the Databricks environment – across information management and integration capabilities.
3. From an information management perspective, this includes Databricks environment optimization, governance, ongoing performance monitoring, and guidance to the business intelligence team.
4. From an integration perspective, this role owns the integration architecture of the organization in tandem with the design, development, optimization, and ongoing performance monitoring of interfaces and integration touchpoints.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver efficient data integration solutions.
6. Develop and optimize necessary SQL queries to support data integration and transformation processes.
7. Implement and manage data pipelines, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability.
8. Monitor and troubleshoot data integration workflows to ensure seamless operation.
9. Document data integration processes and provide technical support to stakeholders.
10. Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data integration, Databricks, and Azure technologies.

Requirements

What you need

1. Proven and deep experience in data and integration management, having played a role as a Data Engineer in the past.
2. Ability to see the big picture and service as the integration architect in tandem with getting granular about design and development – macro- and micro-level execution.
3. Deep knowledge of SQL and experience with complex query optimization.
4. Strong expertise in Databricks and Azure API Management.
5. Excellent understanding of Azure services and architecture.
6. Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Knowledge of Python or other programming languages.
9. Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.

The base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $140,000 commensurate with the candidate's experience.
