Job Title: Lead QC Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Lead QC Technician to join our team. This role involves line auditing for the production of bread, environmental monitoring, air sampling, and participating in monthly SQF audits. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, possess strong leadership qualities, and be eager to grow within the field.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct line auditing for bread production and environmental monitoring.
+ Perform air sampling and participate in monthly SQF audits.
+ Calibrate and verify scales, monitors, and other basic instrumentation.
+ Utilize MS Excel, Word, and Office for documentation practices.
+ Monitor and verify product quality throughout the manufacturing process following GMP.
+ Perform visual inspections, monitor product weights, codes, labeling, and other quality checks within two buildings.
+ Maintain SQF documentation.
+ Review and audit forms.
+ Address food safety issues and customer complaints with the help of QA Supervisors.
+ Monitor other QC Technicians and assist in hiring additional technicians.
+ Perform other periodic tasks as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Quality control experience within the Food and Beverage industry (2-5 years).
+ Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or related field.
+ 2-5 years of Food Safety experience.
+ Experience in audit and inspection of production lines.
+ Leadership experience or apparent leadership qualities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ HACCP or SQF Certification is a plus.
+ Bilingual abilities.
+ Experience with environmental monitoring, HACCP, SQF, production, and air sampling.
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Paterson, New Jersey - after 90 days worked ability for 2 days work from home flexibility
Work Environment
+ The team currently consists of 2 members, aiming to grow to 5.
+ The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm with slight alterations of 30 minutes here and there, and minimal overtime.
+ The culture is communicative and composed of self-starters who adapt to a fast-paced and productive environment.
